Recognizing Your Company
Hundreds of companies nationwide are involved in the Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF. Each year, participants from these businesses generously contribute their valuable time to personally raise funds to support JDRF’s goal of curing, better treating and preventing type 1 diabetes (T1D). Walkers can form teams and proudly wear their corporate T-shirt, giving great visibility of their company’s involvement on Walk day and support of JDRF.
Ways to Support Your Employees
Many companies, knowing their employees’ commitment to JDRF, wish to participate through corporate donations or an employee corporate match program. Connect with your Human Resources department to find out if they match gifts. Companies can also promote opportunities for volunteers and enlist their senior leadership to recognize, reward, and encourage employee participation.
Make a tax receiptable charitable donation to show your support of your employee's fundraising efforts.
Match dollar-for-dollar what your employees have raised.
To find out if your company has a corporate match program or if they would like to start one, contact your Human Resources Department, Social Committee, or Manager. If one exists, please follow the steps outlined in your company's form and contact your local JDRF office.
Support employees to get involved as volunteers.
Recognition & Encouragement
Send internal communication and ongoing recognition about employees' achievements throughout their participation.
