Virtual Walk

The virtual Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF is an opportunity to come together, anytime and anywhere to raise money to fund breakthroughs that get us closer to a cure and provide hope to the millions of people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).
This is a great opportunity to participate and raise funds for those who can’t be part of one of our 60 communities across Canada. The Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF is more than just a Walk, more than one day. You choose when and where you walk and join the tens of thousands of Canadians coming together to say we are #MoreThanT1D.
It’s easy to get started. Just set a goal of walking a total of 5 KM on Sunday, June 14, 2020 (or any time that works for you before December 31, 2020).

A: JDRF’s mission is to fund critical world-class T1D research. We do so by hosting fundraising events such as the Walk. As such, we are asking each participant to raise at least $125 to support life-changing research that will make living with T1D safer and healthier, until we create a world without the disease. We are pleased to offer support or advice on achieving and exceeding your goal. However, if you are still unable to meet that goal, don’t worry as every dollar raised will help support remarkable projects to accelerate the pace of T1D research.
Virtual Walkers who raise $250 or more are also eligible for other exclusive fundraising rewards.
A: You can walk whatever distance you wish. We suggest 5 KM as challenge, but if you would like to do more or less, you’re welcome to do so!
